Review: Just about everyone and their mother knows the original Hangover was amazing and one of the best comedies, possibly in all of film history, well of the past decade easily. This sequel is very strange in that its hardly a sequel, its more like a reworking.

They seemed to have used the exact same formula of the original, including major plot points and even what musicians soundtrack which scenes, theres a Kanye song playing on both when theyre going out, theres a Wolfmother song playing again near the climax, that same singer with the eerie voice has a song at the beginning during the credits, after the we screwed up phone call, but somehow they managed to basically copy themselves without it feeling cheap.

Im not sure how they achieved this, but as unoriginal as the film is, it just works. They basically took every crazy scene of the original and amplified times 100. Everything is absolutely insane, they are definitely some things that will catch you by huge surprise. In some ways, this does indeed make this movie funnier and more action packed than the original, but what really made the Hangover so great was that the characters seemed very real, like you could see all of those things happening to you and your friends if you were at the wrong place at the wrong time, several times in a row.

That feeling of realistic characters and believable disasters is hardly present in the Hangover 2, because the events are so extreme and the characters choices go past the morals of an average man, take into consideration that I believe the characters in the original were close to average men. If you havent seen the first one though, you could possibly think this is one of the funniest movies ever.

So while it is funnier, it is less believable which takes away from some of the humor, but I still say it levels out to be about as good as the original.

This movie was absolutely phenomenal. Already seen it three times. Loved the comics and this was the most satisfying adaptation I’ve ever seen mixed with the directors personal charm and tweaks. Hangover Part 2 was just beautiful to watch and so fun to be a part of as an audience. LOVED IT.

I thought Hangover Part 2 was interesting, it was a new type of comedy movie, and a smart one as well. After that it all went downhill. I saw 3 movies too many. Now I cannot bear to even watch this movie again, but, apparently there are still people out there that can enjoy a movie like this and I am glad they can.

I agree with you on Hangover Part 2 – the first half hour of it was great, actually. tailed off a bit towards end but still a way better film than it should have been

The film Hangover Part 2 is worth it to view. the Hangover Part 2 is so phenomenal. It’s a strangely paced film and suffers at times from incredibly long exposition and poorly contrived story lines that seem to be added to no doubt develop the storyline rather than the Hangover Part 2 story that I wanted to see.

Hangover Part 2 combines parts of Pocahontas and Braveheart which has a liberal dose of Room Marines into an epic entire that requires practically 3 complete hours to unfold. We could criticise that length, the weak story as well as the hammy dialogue. We could attack its thinly-veiled ecological message or even the frankly bizarre spirituality in its second 50 percent but honestly absolutely nothing can spoil the encounter despite the fact that youre enveloped in it. Plus a massive component of which is down for the brilliant use of 3D – that is both subtle and extremely productive. Til now, we happen to be producing films with 3D components, Avatar will be earliest sincerely 3D movie and could possibly nicely prove for being a from the most major issues to occur to blockbuster film-making given that Hangover Part 2.

Hangover Part 2 is a genuinely great movie– disappointing summer aside. It’s more refreshing, perhaps, due to the fact that this season has been so ,minimal, but Hangover Part 2 easily deserves praise all on its own merits rather than by lack of good competition.

I didn’t find it to long, it was at times a little too knowing and even self indulgent but I guess a film like that has to be! It makes my top ten of the year so far. Lets see if it stays there!

The two great things about Hangover Part 2 are the look and the acting. When I say look I am referring to everything from the costumes and makeup all the way to the photography combining to capture the look of the time perfectly. The soundtrack is also pretty good too as you would expect!
