Trivia: According to the DVD commentary, the filming of the beach party took place in December. The original location was flooded shortly before the scene was shot, and the scene had to be rescheduled at a new location at the last minute. The location that ended up in the film was a sand quarry.
Goofs: Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When the doctor is talking about what is wrong with Kate, he says “It’s like she was bitten by hundreds of insects, like spiders.” Spiders aren’t insects and a medical doctor should know that.
