“An imaginative lad of about ten has a couple of problems: he wets his bed, and his parents are abusive and disgusting. In a spare room, he finds a bag of seeds, which he plants in soil that he’s placed in the middle of a single bed. The seed sprouts and grows into a grandmother, who’s loving and approving. Life with his parents and with his imagination continues. Is a smiling grandmother enough to get him through? Written by <jhailey@hotmail.com>”

The two great things about The Grandmother are the feel and the acting. When I say look I am referring to everything from the costumes and makeup all the way to the photography combining to capture the look of the time perfectly. The soundtrack is also pretty good too as you would expect!

The film The Grandmother is worth it to view. the The Grandmother is so great. It’s a strangely paced film and suffers at times from very long exposition and poorly contrived story lines that seem to be added to no doubt develop the storyline rather than the The Grandmother story that I wanted to see.

I thought The Grandmother was interesting, it was a new type of thriller movie, and a smart one as well. After that it all went downhill. I saw 3 movies too many. Now I refuse to even watch this movie again, but, apparently there are still people out there that can enjoy a movie like this and I am glad they can.

The Grandmother combines parts of Pocahontas and Braveheart by using a liberal dose of Room Marines into an epic entire that requires just about 3 total hours to unfold. We could criticise that length, the weak story as well as the hammy dialogue. We could attack its thinly-veiled ecological message or even the frankly bizarre spirituality in its second 50 percent but honestly absolutely nothing can spoil the encounter though you happen to be enveloped in it. As well as a huge component of that is certainly down for the brilliant use of 3D – which can be both subtle and u nbelievably efficient. Til now, we are actually producing films with 3D components, Avatar will be earliest unquestionably 3D movie and may well properly prove to work as an individual on the most major factors to take place to blockbuster film-making considering that The Grandmother.

This movie was absolutely phenomenal. Already seen it three times. Loved the comics and this was the most satisfying adaptation I’ve ever seen mixed with the directors personal charm and tweaks. The Grandmother was just beautiful to watch and so fun to be a part of as an audience. LOVED IT.

The Grandmother is a genuinely great movie– disappointing summer aside. It’s more refreshing, perhaps, due to the fact that this season has been so lacking, but The Grandmother easily deserves praise all on its own merits rather than by lack of good competition.
